Hivewave Inc. (“Hivewave,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) builds Hivewave AI, a social marketing teammate for Shopify stores. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or use Hivewave AI.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, apply for a pilot, or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email address, store URL, and anything you choose to include in your message.
  • Store and account data. If you connect a Shopify store or a social account, we access the data needed to operate Hivewave AI on your behalf—for example product catalog details, published posts, comments, and direct messages—each subject to the permissions you grant.
  • Usage and device data. Like most websites, we automatically collect log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve Hivewave AI and our website.
  • Create on-brand content, reply to comments and messages, and attribute social activity to store sales—always with your approval settings applied.
  • Respond to your requests, manage the waitlist, and evaluate pilot eligibility.
  • Send you service updates and, where you have opted in, marketing communications.
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With service providers who process data on our behalf (for example hosting, database, and analytics providers) under contracts that require them to protect it.
  • With platforms you connect—such as Shopify and the social networks you authorize—to deliver the features you request.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hivewave, our users, or the public.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in how your data is handled.

4. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to promptly address any issues we discover.

7. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. When we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection.

8. Children’s privacy

Hivewave AI is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
